Women in the Wild Ambassador
Looking to meet awesome women and encourage them to get outside? Do you want to give back to the outdoor adventure community and support women in their growth to become even more bad ass? If you said yes to both of those questions then we might have the exact opportunity for you and your adventurous heart!
Women in the Wild is currently accepting applications for volunteer ambassadors across North America. We're looking for women who are passionate about the outdoors, have leadership qualities and experience, are able to host at least 6 community events per year in their designated area(s), and can commit to at least one year with us. Preference will be given to those with certifications such as Wilderness First Aid, but it is not mandatory.
As an ambassador you will be representing Women in the Wild, which means you are expected to act in a responsible and respectful manner, and encourage others to do the same. Alongside being an inspiring leader for new adventurers and a reliable host of local community events, you will be part of the Women in the Wild team, helping to foster a supportive and empowering environment while promoting the values of adventure, inclusivity, and connection among women.
This is an unpaid, volunteer position.

Note: Women in the Wild Adventures prohibits its ambassadors from using its platform to seek money or sponsorships. All community events must be free, and ambassadors are not allowed to request donations of any kind from members.

Responsibilities of an ambassador:

Host at least 6 community events per year (hikes, camping trips, rock climbing/bouldering sessions, kayak/canoe/SUP days, ski/snowboard days, etc.)

Commit to at least 1 year as an ambassador for WitW

Know, follow and guide others regarding the Leave No Trace principles

Be communicative in group chats regarding events you are hosting

Be responsible and respectful

Assist in monitoring group chats

Encourage members to organize and host events themselves
Note: your application does not guarantee you will be selected to become an ambassador for Women in the Wild. Your application will be assessed based on your leadership skills and experience, passion for and knowledge of outdoor activities and your genuine desire to contribute to and be part of our community.
