Our Hosts
Get to know our international trip hosts!
These women are avid outdoorswomen with specialized knowledge and a vast arrangement of strengths. Trish met each of these women through this community and now considers them close friends and reliable hosts.
Trish
Trish founded Women in the Wild back in 2022 and has been adventuring all over the world since. She began solo hiking in 2018 in the mountains of British Columbia and fell in love with them, and had this internal "knowing" that she had the ability to increase access to the backcountry for more women who may have fears holding them back from hiking. WitW took off 2 years after it started, which gave Trish the idea of starting international women's trips - and here we are!
Trish has hosted trips in Costa Rica, Peru, and Yellowstone, and she will be hosting our Patagonia and Guatemala trips.
Kayla
Kayla met Trish at a local Women in the Wild meetup hike, and they've been inseparable since. She's a former professional soccer player and still gets after it today with a local team, while simultaneously coaching young goal keepers and working for a mountain guide company based in Squamish. Kayla is literally obsessed with gear, and can probably answer any questions you have about your gear.
Kayla has hosted trips in Costa Rica and Yellowstone, and will be hosting our 2025 Alaska and Spain trips, as well as our 2026 Kilimanjaro trip.
Leah
Leah is obsessed with adventure and has a huge heart for encouraging women to get outside and explore our beautiful Earth! From local day trips to road trips across North America, Leah will find time for adventure one way or another, and while she leaves every trail with a sense of accomplishment and love for nature, she also leaves with some funny stories to tell on the next trail.
Leah hosted our 2025 Banff trip and will be hosting our 2026 Costa Rica trip
Liz
Liz is a Yoga teacher in Colorado, women's health and fitness coach, and retreat leader. She prioritizes all things health, and spends her spare time walking her Wookie (her dog) and exploring the mountains. Having been a leader on multiple youth camping trips as well as yoga retreats, Liz is the perfect host for our wellness-oriented trips as well as our adventurous itineraries.
Liz hosted our 2025 Colorado trip and will be hosting our 2025 Bali trips.
