Hey, wild woman!

Welcome to your outdoor adventure & travel community.

3 ways to get involved

community app - coming soon!

Women in the Wild started as a little Facebook group to find friends to hike with locally, and has grown to over 100,000 Wild Women worldwide. We’ve outgrown a few iterations of the community, and now members connect with each other on our own app. It’s free to join and allows women to use the group chats and create and join Meetups to connect with women in their area, join Quests to challenge themselves, earn points and redeem them for merch, and so much more. The app was launched in August 2026, and will have updates in the future to add even more features.

international trips

Since 2024, our community has been travelling the world together. We’ve trekked through Patagonia and Peru, hiked our way through Spain, zip lined across Costa Rica, visited National Parks in America and Canada, hiked volcanoes in Guatemala, got cultural in Bali, and summited Kilimanjaro. It’s not uncommon for women to nervously join their first trip, and suddenly find themselves on their second, third, or even fifth Women in the Wild trip. Head to the Trips page to hear what past travellers have to say about their experiences.

courses

We run both online and in-person courses to help Wild Women develop the skills they need to be safe, confident outdoorswomen. Online courses are always available and include our free First Aid Kit course as well as our signature course, Trail Ready: Mastering Hiking and Backpacking Skills. In-person courses include annual Avalanche Skills Training courses and when there’s enough interest, Wilderness First Aid and Intro to Rock Climbing courses. More in-person courses will be added as the community grows.
