trish

Founder + Trip Host

As a forestry professional and lover of all things outdoors, Trish spends a lot of time outside. Whether hiking, climbing or snowboarding, if she has the time, she will be out there getting after it. Trish’s favourite thing about hosting Women in the Wild trips is “bringing together groups of women who don’t know each other, and getting to watch them click and connect over the course of the trip. The friendships made on these trips are the reason I started this community, and every time I’m on a trip and get to see new friendships develop it fills my heart. Of course climbing mountains is amazing, but the friendships and personal growth is so much better.”

Trip Host

As a yoga teacher and youth backpacking trip leader, Liz is down-to-earth and attentive to the needs of everyone around her. Her love of nature shines through everything she does, and she’s always up to spending multiple days in the mountains. Liz’s favourite thing about hosting Women in the Wild trips is “getting to explore new places alongside fun, bold, adventurous women! These trips aren’t always easy. Sometimes they’re uncomfortable, sometimes they’re intimidating, and sometimes they push us way outside our comfort zones. But there’s something pretty magical about doing hard things together, and having a group of women beside you who will cheer you on, laugh with you, and keep you moving forward. That’s the kind of adventure that stays with you long after you’re home.”
